Greetings from Maine

Hello everyone. I'm Tim Fairchild; author of the action adventure novel Zero Point. I've always had a love of history, science, and adventure in exotic locations. After a thirty-two year career, and raising a family with my wonderful wife, I finally was able to do what I've always aspired to do. Write a novel.

To my joy, I was notified recently that Zero Point had made the top 5 finalists in the 2012 Clive Cussler Adventure Writers Competition, with the winner to be announced this October in Phoenix.

Wishing you all the best in your endeavors!

Tim

Hello from Izmir in Turkey.

Hi everyone.  Pleased to be part of this world.

I have been a writer for about twenty years in one form or another but have only recently had the opportunity to start putting stuff together and getting it out there.

My first collection of flash fiction was published to Kindle recently and my WIP consists mainly of my first novel, (working title - Tread Gently in my Blood), and four further collections of flash.

I am up for most thing, beta, blog tours and so on.  Happy to help in any capacity I can.

Look forward to interacting with some of you more deeply soon.

Author from New York City

Hi All! I've been here on WLC for a few months but didn't realize I hadn't posted an introduction yet - so here we go.

My name is Jack Sussek. I was born in California, but spent most of my time growing up on the East Coast. Currently living in New York City.

I released my first self-published mystery-thriller "Manhattan Affairin February 2012. The story takes place in New York City and follows the lives of three former New England college classmates. Murder, conspiracy, sex in a world of secrets and lies.

In May 2012, I released "Two Stories." These two short pieces previously appeared in two different literary magazines but I've always liked them and thought I'd put them out there again while I continue work on my other projects.

Finally, working on another piece titled "MAN READING A NEWSPAPER" that should be out on July 21st.

Take care!

-Jack / @JackSussek

Hello everyone

Hi there, all

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name's Tim Stevens and I'm a British indie author. I write in my two favourite genres: horror (another forum, obviously) and thrillers, especially action & espionage. My debut novel Ratcatcher has been out as a Kindle ebook for the past three months, and I'm scheduled to publish two more thrillers over the autumn.

Look forward to discussing all things thriller with you guys - and reading some of your work, too!

Cheers

Tim

Hello to all!

My name is Randy Mixter. I am new to this group. I currently have 4 novels available. My most recent book, Swan Loch, is a mystery thriller with a touch of the paranormal. It is 99c on the Kindle for a limited time only. Sarah Of The Moon is a well reviewed romantic novel (with a mystery element) that takes place in the 1967 summer of love in San Francisco.

It is so nice to be a part of a site where authors can meet and discuss ideas.  My author's web site follows.

Hello. Newbie here.

Hi. My name is Martin Hill. I write under the name Martin Roy Hill because there seem to be a lot of writers out there named Martin Hill. (How dare they? It was *my* name first! Well, actually, it was my father's name first...)

Anyway, I just published my first indie book, "Duty: Suspense and Mystery Stories from the Cold War and Beyond," available from Amazon and B&N. I also write for Open Salon and Suite101. I'm trying to learn as much as I can about book promotion. WLC has already taught me a lot.

If you've got time, check out my web site at https://sites.google.com/site/martinroyhill2/home

Cheers.

Hullo

Hi.  My name's David.  Oh, you probably figured that out since that's in my account name.  Anyway, I'm a writer.  I have two self-pubbled thrillers on Amazon and am about to put out a third.  It's a series.  Someone on an Amazon forum told me they absolutely love WLC, so here I am.

Oh, Martin Hill.  Yes, I write under David E. Manuel because there is another David Manuel who publishes fiction (Christian fiction).  I don't know where he gets off using my name.  Nor do I appreciate the David Manuel in Florida who is in jail on a felony conviction.  Just when you start thinking you're a unique person, along comes Google to shatter your illusions.

What's in a name?

David, I know just how you feel.

The name similarity that got me was a guy who once called me because he was getting all my army email because our email addresses were one digit off. We were both Martin R. Hill. We both had fathers who were Martin R. Hill. And we were both army medical personnel. Spooky...<g>

Martin,

That's one of those stories that people would complain in a novel just wasn't credible.  The truth is often stranger than fiction, isn't it?

David
