Hey guys - What are you all reading?  When I can time - I read alot, and I read quick.  The last two days - I read the first two books in the Soulkeepers Series by G.P. Ching.  While this is a YA Paranormal series, and I'm not really into YA - I am really enjoying this series!!!  I finished the second book tonight and look forward to the third coming out.  I'll be posting reviews soon.

So what are you reading?  I have 56 books on my kindle I have not read yet - not sure which one is next!

What are you reading?

I'm reading "Heartsight" by Kay Springsteen. It's a sweet romance but has enough sexual tension to ignite newspaper! It's a great story and I can't put it down.

 I usually have a fantasy

I usually have a fantasy book (am a big fan of the two Terry's: Terry Brooks and Terry Pratchett), a criminal story (Agatha Christie it is right now) and something about holistic healing going. But I just got a kindle reader and am eager to read less well know authors. One I just started is JF Kirwin and one I have downloaded but not started yet is Derek Haines. Even though he might be more well known just not to me :-). And poetry of course. Well right now I mainly read in English but I am sure I will go back to book in my mother tongue German one day :-)

Welcome

Jean & Phoenix  - Welcome!!

Jean - Heartstrings looks like a great contemporary romance novel!  Let us know how you like it at the end - and if you write reviews - make sure to put it on the review board for others to see too!

Phoenix - I love good crime stories too, I'm a police officer by trade, and I love to fall into a great fantasy!  I read so many books (4 this week) that I tend to read books that are lower in price since I download so many.  I have found some absolutely awesome books for under $4.00!!!  Ironically, both of my books sell really well over in Germany even though they are written in English - I am thinking of having them translated.

Hope you both have a wonderful day!

Reading now.

I am currently reading Chiczofrenia. Then I am not sure what is next. I was looking around here and saw several that sound good. Deadly Reunion peaked my interest, as did The Last Letter, Love and Wrath, and Chasing Amanda. Have any of you read ony of them?

I also have quite a few books already on my kindle I need to read. Mostly inspirational or spiritual. The fiction I tend to find time for. That might be a problem in it's self .  I try to keep it even and read one of each at a time but I think I lag behind occasionally.

Yep -

I loved Deadly Reunion!  - The sequel to that one is coming out soon!  Some great humor in that one!  I have also read Chasing Amanda and loved that one two.  Have both the Last Letter and Love and Wrath on my kindle to read.

I have never heard about Chiczofrenia - what is that about?

HiJean and Phoenix!

Hey Stacy! Great topic. I rarely have time to read, so I'm reading three books at snail's pace. Waiting on Hope, by TM Souders --- Really good! Out of Breath by Susan Salluce, which I've only just begun, but it's good so far, and The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Timeless. Love it. Amazing.

Reading Trip, I wrote Chasing Amanda. I've read Love Letters and Deadly Reunion is on my TBR, as are the others. There's never enough time to read!

I'm currently reading Stacy's

I'm currently reading Stacy's Blue Blood for Life.  I'm not usually a romance reader, but My Blood Runs Blue and Blue Blood for Life are amazing!  :D

Deadly Reunion is on my Kindle to read as well as Chasing Amanda.  (I expect bot to be great though!)

Usually, I read YA, so Stacy, I'm going to have to look into that series you were talking about.  :D

Reading

Hi everyone!

Jean-it's good to know that you're enjoying "Heartsight" thus far. I believe I have it on my Kindle and have yet to read it! My taste in books is very eclectic but I do love a good romance. I can't help it!

I just finished a novella, MALAIKA by Van Heerling and absolutely loved his writing!

Right now I'm reading Room by Emma Donoghue. I just started but am already loving her style! I'm like Melissa though, in that I don't have a ton of time to read right now, so it's slow going. I also have manby of the other books mentioned on my Kindle waiting to be read as well. My Blood Runs Blue, Chasing Amanda, Deadly Reunion etc. Melissa, when I saw The Color Purple, I decided I've got to read it because I never have!

The Corridors of the Dead

The Corridors of the Dead is Book One of the Among the Dead Trilogy Series by Jonathan D. Allen.    I’m a mid fifty year old, middle class woman, and although I do enjoy fantasy, this book was certainly a new one for me. The protagonist is Matty, a young woman, an artist and lesbian who works the graveyard shift in a Circle K store, staying awake on what she calls The Holy Trinity: Monster Energy drink, Red Bull and Mountain Dew Red Code. Tattooed, with a nose ring, and unusual hair, she is surprised by a wee hours visit by a very proper little old lady named Delilah McKinley. McKinley is a member of a group called the Watchers and has come to tell Matty to be very careful that night. Matty is weirded out by the little old lady but shortly after McKinley leaves, Matty is robbed and abducted by a girl, who throws her into her trunk and runs off. In the trunk, Matty is mentally saying her goodbyes to her girlfriend and running the film of her life through her head. Stranger still, the car is stopped, bullets are fired and the trunk is opened by the very same little old lady who has killed Matty’s abductor to save her..

The next day when Delilah McKinley visits her at the Circle K, Delilah tells Matty that she has been “Chosen”. Even though she doesn’t believe it, there will soon be a sign that will show Matty that she, and only she can save the world. Sure enough, when she wakes up the next afternoon, it appears that Armageddon has begun. As she and her girlfriend talk, the door of their trailer is torn off by a three dimensional shadow, hell bent on destroying Matty. Once again, Delilah saves the day - and Matty’s life- and together, Delilah, Matty and Kristy set off to Las Vegas where Matty will start the process of saving the world.

On the way, they are joined by Matty and Kristy’s friend Daniel, who much to their surprise is not only their friend but a magician as well. Delilah is a Watcher, Daniel is a magician, Matty’s attacker was an Aetelia and Matty, well  much to her surprise, Matty is a Tunneler, capable of jumping through dimensions and worlds whenever she wants to. Matty will need this skill to save the world.

This is a curious and compelling story about the existence of parallel worlds in a “Multiverse” and the very unusual heroine and her friends, who have set off on a mystical, freakish quest to save the world. The only question is which world in the Multiverse will Matty save?
